Copa del Sol Tournament
Football Impact – in collaboration with IEC in Sports and Phoenix – is organizing The Copa del Sol football tournament which will offer a unique opportunity for training and match playing to various European teams during the winter break.
With an ambition to become the most interesting tournament during the pre season for teams from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Russia and Ukraine, it offers both a high level training environment and matches against high level international opponents.
We count with the participation of the renowned teams:
Kalmar FF and IF Elfsborg (Sweden)
FC Köpenhamn and Odense BK (Denmark)
Rosenborg BK and Molde FK (Norway)
CSKA Moskva (Russia)
FC Shaktar Donetsk (Ukraine)
There will be live transmission in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Russia and Ukraine from Malaga’s and Marbella’s stadiums where all matches will take place. It will be played in February 2010, one month before the kick-off of the national leagues, which is an optimal window to fine tune form and develop tactics before the opening of the league series.
The tournament offers not only sportive development for these teams during pre season, but also increased revenue opportunities through the considerable prize money.
