The figure of the referees is key for the correct development of a sport as competitive as football. Despite being always marked by controversy, the general level of referees in Europe is excellent.
Some of us believed that with the arrival of the VAR, the figure of the referee would not be so criticized, but the VAR has taught us that no machine will put two fans in agreement. For this reason, a well-trained referee, sure of its criteria and with clear ideas, is essential to make football as fair as possible.
In this line Football Impact has been working for years with this important figure. In 2018, with the massive arrival of Norwegian teams on the Costa del Sol, the Norwegian federation and league decided that the referees would also conduct their Winter Break with Football Impact.
In the summer of 2016, Football Impact and Marbella Football Center managed the accommodation of the Andalusian referees who attended the Annual Gala of the RFAA (Royal Andalusian Federation of Referees).
Arjen Robben, retired from soccer for a year, will return to active soccer. At FC Groningen they are in luck for the arrival of this crack to the team where his professional career began.
The Dutch team is a friend of Football Impact and visits us usually. The last time in 2018, when they stayed in Sotogrande. During the stay the team played a match against Club Brugge KV at the Marbella’s Municipal Stadium Antonio Lorenzo Cuevas.
The one from Bedum wants to return to the team of his origins, with which he debuted in 2001. Since then, the player did nothing but improve, calling the attention of PSV Eindhoven, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
With his impressive dribble and a devastating shot, Robben has managed to win the league and the cup in Spain, England, Netherlands and Germany. 12 leagues (2 in England, 1 in Spain, 1 in the Netherlands and 8 in Germany), 6 cups (1 from England and 5 from Germany) and a Champions are the baggage of this incomparable player.
Let’s remember this left-hander who has been one of the best players of the 21st century.
Liverpool was proclaimed champion of the Premier League last Thursday 7 matchdays in advance. City’s defeat against Chelsea consummated a victory that we all knew that was about to come.
Jurgen Klopp and his men have brought immense joy to our friends at Anfield. The team had not won the national championship for 30 years and had never won the Premier League since the 92/93 season when it started with the current format.
The English team had won the English league in the year 90 and has had to wait another 30 years to revalidate a title that already touched him. To commemorate it, the company Bleacher Report has made the following video.
Although our friends have taken a long time to win the English championship again, they have done it in style. These are some of the records they have broken or can still break:
18 consecutive wins in the Premier League (tied with City).
55 consecutive games unbeaten at home (with streaks of up to 22 consecutive victories).
Records in competition
Exceed 100 points. For this they have to get 15 of the 21 points still in play.
Reach 20 points of difference with the second classified (currently there are 23).
For Marbella Football Center and Football Impact it is an immense joy to see the successes of teams that have bet on us. Now it’s time to celebrate and enjoy, congratulations champions!
Yesterday was held in Puerto Banús (Marbella) the draw that decided the duels of the teams that will try to promote to the silver division of Spanish football.
Representatives of Football Impact and Marbella Football Center attended the event organized by the Spanish Football Federation. This is because MFC will organize several of the games that will be played during this playoff.
All the matches of this first phase will be held between July 18th and 19th. The duels that Marbella Football Center will host will be the following:
Marbella FC – SCR Peña Deportiva Santa Eulalia (Baleares), on July 18th.

The other matches are:
Castellón-UD Logroñés, on Saturday July 18th at La Rosaleda.

Sabadell-Atlético B, on Sunday 19th at the Nuevo Mirador de Algeciras stadium.
After more than 100 days, the football show is back to England. Although on the 17th there were two games pending on matchday 28th, matchdays 30th and 31st, the first to be played in full after the break.
There will be excitement and many places to decide, although the title has clear winners, our friends from Liverpool FC. Despite a draw in the Merseyside derby with their Everton neighbors, the Premier League leader has a 23 points advantage over Manchester City, with just 21 points at stake. If Manchester City doesn’t win today, the “reds” will be champions.
In the noble part of the standings, two of our friends are tied at 49 points, Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Both teams are just 2 from Chelsea and will exhaust their options to enter the Champions League next season.
At the bottom of the table, another of our friends, AFC Bournemouth, is eighteenth in relegation positions. The team is tied on points with West Ham, which is outside the relegation zone and just one points behind Watford, giving them many options to stay one more year in the Premier League if it performs a good season final.
Soccer is starting to regain normality, which is a great joy for Football Impact and Marbella Football Center. Seeing our friends doing what they like the most fills us with satisfaction. Good luck to all!
Atlético de Madrid took all three points in their match against Levante UD. Cholo’s men stayed at the Meliá Villaitana Football Center before facing the Levantine team.
The team could to exercise in the facilities of this great resort and isolate themselves to be able to work with maximum concentration in such an important match.
The red and white team won by the minimum to the local team with an own goal by Bruno González after a good play by Marcos Llorente. The team from Madrid has achieved 10 out of the 12 possible points after the championship resumed.
In the next game, Alavés will visit the Wanda Metropolitano, but the team of Saúl, Koke, Costa, Joao Félix, Oblak … will do everything possible to keep the three points at home.
Football Impact and Marbella Football Center have been working for many years with some of the best international clubs. Teams like Liverpool FC, Borussia Dortmund or Manchester United trust us.
It is undeniable that we are effective and we make sure that all our clients end up fully satisfied with their experience. For this we offer personalized attention, with a coordinator (or several) always pending the teams.
Climate, hotel offer and first class facilities
But there are more factors that influence success beyond our good work. And it is that only a few areas can boast of having such mild temperatures throughout the year, with an average temperature of 18ºC and 300 sunny days. Even in the colder months, you can play soccer in good condition.
On the other hand, the wide range of first-class hotels and good communications allow the clubs to choose hotels that are central, remote or next to the training facilities.
In addition to all these advantages, the Costa del Sol has excellent sports infrastructures for practicing football.
If we add to the good climate the good communications and sports facilities and the wide hotel offer, a wide range of possibilities opens up according to the needs of each club.
Marbella is known worldwide as a tourist destination. The city of the Costa del Sol has attracted and continues to attract many people who decide to settle in it. And in terms of sports, more and more clubs are choosing Marbella for their stages. All that is due to its weather conditions.
The mild temperatures throughout the year (with an annual average of 18º C), the lack of rainfall and the 300 days of sunshine a year make the Costa del Sol an unsurpassed destination.
The Penibaetic System to the north and the Mediterranean Sea to the south protect the city from the cold winds in winter and excessive heat in summer.
If we add to all this a wide range of hotels and excellent sports facilities, we make Marbella become a world reference for clubs.
All these conditions and a level of services to match make Marbella Football Center and Football Impact have consolidated in this demanding market.
Next Thursday, June 25th, the draft for the promotion playoff to the second division of Spanish football will be held in Puerto Banús (Marbella).
The draw will start at 20:00 in the famous marina of the town on the Costa del Sol. Specifically, it will be held in the Levante jetty.
In the act we can find the managers of the RFEF, the representatives of the clubs and the leaders of Football Impact and Marbella Football Center.
Through the official channels of the RFEF you can follow the event. The first ranked will not be in the draw, since they have a double chance. They will face each other and two will promote directly, while the other two will join a second draw. This time with the winners of the first round of second, third and fourth ranked teams.
The teams that will participate in this playoff are:
