With only one moth to the Russian World Cup start on June, Football Impact brings you another international friendly game, a match between Saudi Arabia and Greece. The Saudi team, that will play the opening game against the host (Russia), will perform one of its last tests before the World Cup.
The Argentinian Juan Antonio Pizzi coaches “the sons of desert” and has been key for the qualifying of the Asian team after two World Cups without the Saudi Arabia Federation. The team ranked second in his group and its striker Mohammad Al Sahlawi has been the top scorer in the qualifying matches of the Asian groups.
The Greek situation is different. After not qualifying to this World Cup, Michael Skibbe (a veteran manager that has worked for Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen or Galatasaray among others) comes with the intention to take the Greek team to the 2020 Eurocup.
Both teams have been training on the pitch and today they will face each other from 19:30 at La Cartuja Olimpic Stadium and the entrance will be free.
