6 teams will arrive during this week to Spain to prepare their Winter Break with Football Impact. Of these 6 teams five come from the Northern lands (Norway 3, Estonia 1 and Latvia) and one from Russia.
The teams that will arrive will be the following:
– From Russia: FC UFA.
– From Norway: Lillestrom SK, Sandefjornd Football and Viking Stavanger FK.
– From Estonia: JK Nomme Kalju.
– From Latvia: FK Ventspils.
The first to land in Spain will be Lillestrom SK and Sandefjornd Football, both from the Norwegian first division. These two teams will arrive on Monday and will do a stage in Marbella for 10 days.
Two more teams will arrive on Tuesday, FC UFA and JK Nomme Kalju. The two clubs will stay in Spain for a week and a half, but while the Russians will stay in Benidorm, the Estonians will sleep in Marbella.
Finally, on Saturday will arrive the last two teams of the week, Viking Stavanger FK and FK Ventspils. Both expeditions will stay in Marbella, but while the Norwegians will stay only a week, the Latvians will stay for two.
Valerenga IF and FC Rostov will star tomorrow’s new Nordic-Russian duel Winter Break 2019. The game will be played at 18:00 at the Municipal Stadium in Marbella.
Although in the Center European countries, the competition has already begun, in the coldest countries, the winter break continues.
It will be the second match of the Winter Break 2019 for the Norwegians, who already faced last Saturday FC Dinamo Kiev. The Scandinavians will train eight days on the Costa del Sol, at Marbella Football Center’s facilities before returning to Eliteserien.
On the other bench we will find FC Rostov, who performed a great start to the season, and now tries to recover the thrust of the first matchdays before returning to the pitch in 2019.
The Rostov team ranks seventh and will play their first official game of the year against another client of Football Impact, in a match of the second leg of the round of 8 of the Russian Cup. Rostov and Krasnodar will meet in Rostov Arena to clarify who enters the semi-finals after the 2-2 in the first leg.
Tomorrow Marbella Football Cente’s facilities will welcome a new match between two elite teams. FC Lokomotiv Moscow and FK Haugesund will dispute from 16:30 a confrontation that will be worth to both to perform the preseason.
The “railwaymen” will play the second game of their preseason 2019 with Football Impact. The team will return to the competition on early March. Although the red-green team ranks fifth in the Premier League, is only 6 points behind the leader, Zenit, and has options to everything in league and cup. Between the first and fifth we find CSKA, Spartak or Krasnodar, regular Football Impactm customers.
The Norwegian team is in a different situation. They ranked fourth in the 2018 Eliteserien and in 2019 the league will not start until very late March. Meanwhile the team makes its preseason under the Andalusian sun, doing everything possible to perform a great 2019 and struggle to access the European positions.
FC Dinamo Kiev and Valerenga IF will star Saturday’s Football Impact matchday. The day will be completed with a duel between Nordic teams.
At 13:00 the match of the day will begin, it will face the great Ukrainian champion FC Dinamo Kiev to Valerenga IF, five times champion of the Tippeligaen and four of the Norwegian Cup. The Municipal Stadium of Marbella will host the game.
At 16:30, in the of Santa María Polo Fields (Sotogrande), the match between Norwegians and Swedes of Mjøndalen IF and Norrby IF will begin. Mjøndalen are currently playing in the Norwegian second division, although they have won the Norwegian Cup 3 times. The Swedes also militate in the second division of their country, reason why an equal duel is expected.
The three games of Friday’s matchday will have on one side teams from the north of Europe and on the other teams from the east of the old continent. Representatives of Ukraine, Russia, Norway and Sweden will will test themselves to check the evolution of their respective Winter Breaks. The matches will take place in Estepona, Marbella and Alicante.
The first of the clashes will be held at the Municipal Stadium of Marbella. In this the Swedish team Malmö FF will face the Ukrainian FC Dinamo Kiev at 14:00.
The next ones to enter the scene will be the Russians of the Zenit of St. Petersburg and the Norwegians of the SArpsborg 08 FF. This game will be played at La Finca Resort (Alicante) and will start at 4:00 p.m.
The last match will be played in Estepona. The facilities of Arroyo Enmedio will welcome from 16:30 the duel between the Swedes of Östersunds FK and the Russians of FC Rostov.
Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, which currently ranks seventh in the English Premier League, have landed today on the Costa del Sol. The English team will make a four-day stage at Marbella Football Center.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men will perform four trainings at Marbella Football Center to face the last part of the Premier League. The team is seventh, the first after the group of the huge teams (Liverpool, City, Tottenham, Chelsea, United and Arsenal), and aims to maintain the level shown in 2018.
The “wolves” visit Marbella Football Center for the second consecutive season, although they can not make a long stay, only until Sunday. On Monday they will have to face Newcastle Utd. Six days later they will visit Bristol to face City in the FA Cup round of eight.
Six is the total number of clubs and nationanl teams that will arrive this week to the Costa del Sol to work with Football Impact. Estepona, Marbella and Benahavís will be the places where these teams will stay.
On Monday, the two Russian teams, FC Lokomotiv and FC Rostov, came. These two teams rank fifth and seventh respectively in the Russian Premier League, separated by only 4 points.
Both teams will stay for more than two weeks on the Costa del Sol, finalizing the return to competition. The Muscovites will finish their stage on the 19th, while those of Rostov will finish on the 20th.
Two teams arrive from Norway, Kongsvinger IL and Valerenga IF. While Kongsvinger IL, team of the OBOS-ligaen (second division), arrived on Monday; Valerenga IF, of the
Eliteserien, will arrive on Saturday.
Finally, on Sunday two U-7 national teams, from Ireland and from Belgium, will arrive for a week-long stage with Football Impact.
Tomorrow’s Football Impact matchday will be completely perfomed in Marbella. Both games on Wednesday February 6th will be played under Marbella’s sun, both in the afternoon.
The match FC Dinamo Kyiv – New England Revolution, that will face two important teams from Europe and America, will open the day. This match will be held in Marbella Football Center from 15:00. A sunny day is expected and a temperatura around 18ºC.
The match between FC Lokomotiv Moscow and FC Krasnodar will start at 16:00 also in Marbella Football Center. These two teams rank fifth and second respectively in Russian Premer League and both are in full Winter Break, in the absence of 4 weeks to return to competition.
The good weather conditions, the importance of these two Giants of the European football and the big Russian community on the Costa del Sol promise a colourful game.
The Swedish team Östersunds FK and the Ukrainian FC Dinamo Kiev will play tomorrow the only match of the Football Impact matchday. The match will be played in Marbella in the morning.
The Municipal Stadium of Marbella, Antonio Lorenzo Cuevas, will host this great game starting at 12:00 in the morning.
The Scandinavians finished last season in sixth place in the Allsvenskan, the Swedish first division, and will not compete again until late March, when they will start the 2019 edition. Before, the team will have to play some matches of the Swedish Cup in the middle of February.
The Ukrainians, meanwhile, are second in the Premier League, to which they will return on late February. In the middle of the same month, the blue and yellow team will have to face Olympiacos in the Europa League.
The Swedish team Malmö 08 FF will face FC Krasnodar 2 today just 24 hours after facing FC Krasnodar on Saturday. The match will start at 16:00 as on Saturday, with the only difference of the venue, which tomorrow will be in Coín (Burgos Quintan Stadium).
The Swedish team arrived last January to the Costa del Sol, where it will stay until February 9th. The Nordic team will train at the Dama de Noche facilities until a few days before their return to the competition, on February 14th against Chelsea.
By its part, FC Krasnodar 2, is also preparing its return to the KNL (Russian second division), which will occur on early March. The Russians rank eighth very close to the noble positions of the category and hope that the Winter Break will help them to make a second round even better than the first one.
