Today we inaugurate a section of memories, in which we will recall some of the milestones and events that occurred in the history of Marbella Football Center and Football Impact.
We remember when on January 24th 2015, the world’s most prestigious newspaper, the New York Times, echoed the work done by MFC and FI.
In the article, the editor Sam Borden comments on how curious it is that a team like FC Basel is conducting its preseason more than 2000 kilometers from home and playing friendly matches against other European teams. The journalist comments it to who was then goalkeeper of FC Basel and current goalkeeper of Sevilla FC, to which the Czech answers with a smile.
Later in the news, the reasons for the Winter Break are discussed, its implications, the number of teams that decide to bet on FI and MFC, the level of infrastructure of these companies …
At Football Impact today we remember one of the best managers in football history. A man who has managed the best teams in the world in his 30-year career. Old school, but a sure value.
We are talking about the great Fabio Capello, who has been able to coach the best players in the world. Teams like:
The Milan of Rijkaard, Gullit, Van Basten, Maldini or Donadoni.
Real Madrid of Roberto Carlos, Hierro, Redondo, Raúl or Seedorf in his first stage and of Ronaldo, Van Nistelrooy, Marcelo, Sergio Ramos and Casillas in the second one.
AS Rome of Cafu, Zanetti or Montella.
Juventus of Buffon, Del Piero Nedved or Ibrahimovic.
The English national team of Rooney, Owen, Lampard or Steven Gerrard.
And if we talk about his sporting success, he will surprise us. 1 Champions League, 2 Spanish Leagues and 5 from Italy, 4 Italian Super Cups and one European Super Cup.
In his later years, the Italian coach met Marbella Football Center and Football Impact. His first visit was with the Russian national team in 2013, when he chose MFC for a gathering.
Once he knew our services and our way of working, he continued to bet on us. That is why he decided to make the 2018 Winter Break on the Costa del Sol with Jiangsu Suning, during his time in Chinese football.
The current coach of UD Las Palmas, Pepe Mel, is one of the most experienced managers in the Spanish football. His long career began after his retirement as a player in 98 and since then he has not stopped leading one team after another.
Starting from below, with clubs like CD Coslada or CP Mérida, the manager from Madrid has coached a large number of teams. Real Betis, RC Deportivo, Rayo Vallecano, West Bromwich Albion, Rayo Vallecano, Deportivo Alavés, Getafe CF, CD Tenerife, CP Ejido or Real Murcia appear in his cv.
The current manager of Las Palmas maintains a friendship with the two managers of Marbella Football Center and Football Impact. Indeed he has visited MFC with UD Las Palmas and tb has traveled to Germany hand in hand with Football Impact with Betis.
A year ago, Mel also visited the Marbella Football Center facilities, but for another purpose. He was one of the speakers at the 1st International Football Coaches Meeting along with Adolfo Aldana (former Real Madrid player) and Erling Moe, current manager of Molde FK.
The 1. FC Köln, which made the Winter Break 2020 with Football Impact, started off on the right foot in 2020. The team was gathered at Villaitana Football Center (Benidorm) and played two friendly matches organized by Football Impact, against KV Mechelen and KRC Genk.
After their stay on the Levantine coast, the team returned to the Bundesliga, where they have managed to overcome some positions, after their bad start. The “mountain goats” have achieved 5 victories in 8 games. To put it in context, the team had won 5 games in the first 17 days.
Jhon Córdoba is being one of the most important players in Markus Gisdol’s team. The Colombian has scored 10 goals, with an average of 0.5 goals per game played.
Tomorrow the team will face another of our friends, FSV Mainz 05. They will try to achieve a victory that will bring them closer to the positions of access to the Europa League, currently 5 points away.
Football Impact and Marbella Football Center are expanding their client portfolio year after year. One of the keys to this success is based on the quality of our turf.
Some of the best teams in the world (Liverpool, Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund…) and many of the most important federations (Spain, France, Germany …) choose us. Our clients come from Asia to America, passing through Africa and Europe.
But all this would not be possible if we did not offer first class facilities and the best natural grass. To obtain this natural grass lawn, we have qualified personnel advised by expert agronomists,
The grass is usually seen as a layer of a few centimeters, very beautiful and very green. But to make this layer look like this, there are several layers below. Composition of our lawn:
In the upper layer we see the English Ray Grass (lolium perenne).
Under this we have another layer of Bermuda Tiffway 419 type grass as a base.
A layer of silica sand is placed on the next layer.
An anti-grass mesh separates the sand from the next layer, of 80/120 gravel.
Another anti-grass mesh separates the 80/120 gravel from another gravel layer, in this case 12 mm Gravel No. 1.
Finally we have the sub-floor, with a tubular drainage system.
Our professionals together with the appropriate machinery guarantee the correct control of pH, water quality, foundation analysis, etc …
