RC Deportivo de La Coruña won the Champions Cup yesterday after defeating FC Barcelona 3-1 in a thrilling match. The best youth players in Spain, the promising footballers of tomorrow, came together at Marbella Football Center.
The Galicians had to beat Real Madrid beforehand, while the Catalans did the same with Málaga CF. Both won by the narrowest of margins. And the equality in this tournament has been maximum, which is not surprising seeing the great season that these 4 teams have performed.
We would especially like to congratulate Deportivo for this important victory, which will also give them a place in the next edition of the Youth League, the Champions League for youth teams.
The match started very evenly. Mario Domínguez gave Deportivo the lead, but Ilias quickly brought the score back to level terms. It had to be Noel, the 9 of the team from A Coruña, who unbalanced the match with two perfectly executed individual actions, the first one beautifully executed.
