Many LaLiga clubs have worked in Marbella Football Center this summer. During the summer period, many choose the Costa del Sol to prepare for the start of the season with the best possible guarantees.
A total of 13 of them between the first and second division worked with us this summer. Today we review their season start.
RCD Mallorca and Real Betis have made the best start to the season in LaLiga, with 7 and 5 points respectively. Rayo Vallecano is in the middle of the table with 4 points. RCD Espanyol, Cádiz CF, Granada CF and RC Celta have been less lucky and will be looking to improve next weekend.
In LaLiga Santander, UD Almería and Málaga CF are in the playoff places, while UD Ibiza and SD Eibar are watching them closely, with 7 points (only 1 point behind Málaga and 2 behind Almería). In the quiet zone of the table we find Las Palmas, with 6 points. The group of MFC’s friends is closed by AD Alcorcón, who last matchday got its first win of the season.
The U16 Spanish National Team will arrive next Monday to the Costa del Sol for a 4-day training camp at Marbella Football Center. David Gordo and his men will arrive on the 20th, where they will stay until the 23rd.
This is not the first time that the RFEF has decided to bring the U16 squad to work with MFC. In fact, a few months ago they already held a training camp. But this time it is different, as in addition to training, they will play two matches organised by MFC against a big rival.
On the 21st at 19:00 they will play the first match against the U16 Russian National Team and on the 23rd at 11:00 they will play again against the same rival.
David Gordo’s call-up list for this training camp:
ATHLETIC CLUB: Peio Huestamendia Aguirreburualde
CLUB ATLÉTICO DE MADRID SAD: Daniel Muñoz Navas, Jesús Fortea Tejedo, Javier Díaz Igual, Javier Fernández González, Jairo Fernández Sarabia y Francisco Esteban Sánchez.
FC BARCELONA: Héctor Fort García, Pau Prim Coma, Hugo Alba Siveira y Lamine Yamal Nasraoumi.
REAL BÉTIS BALOMPIÉ: Alejandro Vergaz Lozano.
REAL CELTA DE VIGO: Hugo Wauthier Gorjón y Mohamed Dahmouni.
RCD ESPANYOL DE BARCELONA: Hugo Burgos González, Izan Herranz Simón y Rachid Saiah.
VILLARREAL CF: Daniel Budesca López, Unai Rodríguez Cabrera y Luis Montes Guillén.
Marbella FC will play this season at the Marbella Football Center. Belonging to the Third RFEF, the team will debut tomorrow in its first match of the official season.
Marbella Football Center and the M.I. Ayuntamiento de Marbella have reached an agreement for the team to play their matches at our facilities at least until March. With a capacity of 950 spectators, and with a 60% restriction, up to 570 spectators will be able to enjoy local football.
UDC Torredonjimeno will be the first rival of the Marbella team in what will also be their first match in this new category. The team faces this new season with all the illusion and with the clear objective of moving up to the Second RFEF.
We wish Marbella FC the best luck in this new season!
Marbella Football Center will host one of the semi-finals of the Copa Andalucía, organised by the Royal Andalusian Football Federation. The match will be played on Friday 10th from 19:30.
Chiclana CF and CD Espeleño will face off for a place in the final against the winner of the match between Atarfe Industrial CF and C D Rincón. This semi-final (also on Friday 10th) and the final (Sunday 12th) will be played at the San Pedro Alcántara football ground.
The ‘Copa Andalucía’ is the gateway for modest teams to the knockout rounds of the Copa del Rey. The finalists will gain access to the inter-territorial round of the Copa del Rey. If they make it through this round, they will face a first division club, as was the case last year with CD Rincón (de la Victoria).
This is not an unknown event for us, as last year our facilities already hosted this same tournament.
The Turkish national team beat Andorra 3-0 in a match in the Qatar 2022 World Cup Qualifiers. The Turks are group leaders with 11 points in five matches.
To prepare for this important match, the team has been training in Sotogrande with the Marbella Football Center. During this time they have trained thinking about the match against Gibraltar and the next match against the Netherlands tomorrow.
This match is key, as the Dutch are in second place, just one point behind our Turkish friends and tied with our Norwegian friends. A win at the Amsterdam Arena would make it much easier for them and would also help Norway in their quest to qualify for the World Cup.
Football Impact has been represented at EXPO OCIO Y DEPORTE with a stand our facilities in Arroyo Enmedio and Atalaya Football Pitches.
Organised by the Estepona Town Hall, this event was attended by a multitude of sports organisations from the city. In addition, FI has participated in a raffle in which different football shirts were given away.
With this initiative we try to continue to grow as a company and to be known more and more. Every year, dozens of teams come to work with us, especially during the winter pre-season, generating a multitude of direct and indirect jobs in the town, which fills us with satisfaction.

The Norwegian national team continues its struggle for one of the two places that give access to the finals of the World Cup in Qatar 2022. Our Scandinavian friends drew against another of the favourites in the group, the Netherlands.
A goal, of course, from Erling Haaland, gave the Norwegians a point, who played a good game, but saw Klaassen equalise before half-time.
In March the first 3 matches were played, in which our friends prepared 2 with Marbella Football Center, who also organised the second one. It was in La Rosaleda, against the Turkish national team (first classified in the group).
Now, after the draw against the Dutch team, they have to face Latvia and Gibraltar, in search of the first place in the group.
From the Costa del Sol, we wish our friends all the luck, although the great work they are doing and the emerging talent in Norwegian football makes this goal more and more possible.
Marbella Football Center will host the RFAF (Andalusian Football Federation) Cup. The high performance sports centre will once again host this event between the 8 best teams of the Third Division.
4 teams from Group IX and 4 teams from Group X played a preliminary two-legs phase, in which the 4 teams that will play the final phase in Marbella were decided.
The final phase starts this Friday 3rd September with two semi-finals. One will be played at Marbella Football Center at 19:30 hours. The second will be at the Municipal Stadium of San Pedro Alcántara “Antonio Naranjo” at 21:30 hours. This venue will also host the final on the 5th of September, from 12:00 hours.
Our centre will host the match between Juventud Torremolinos CF and U.D. Ciudad Torredonjimeno. Both teams beat Palo FC and CD Torreperogil respectively in the previous round, and the two best teams in this event will have access to the RFEF (Spanish Football Federation) Cup.
In about 15 months the World Cup Qatar 2022 will start, and many of the friends of Marbella Football Center will try to attend this important event.
Tomorrow the qualification will resume, and tomorrow we already have several of our friends playing their first match. The first will be the Ukrainian national team, who will visit Kazakhstan in search of the first 3 points, but there will be many more.
In all these matches we will find friendly federations of Marbella Football Center: Denmark – Scotland, Slovakia – Slovenia, France – Bosnia-Herzegovina, Moldova – Austria, Norway – Netherlands, Portugal – Ireland and Russia – Croatia.
We wish all the luck to our friends to start this journey in the best possible way.
