FC Rostov ends their month of Winter Break on the Costa del Sol and they are already leaving to Russia, back to national competition. The Russian Cup awaits them in just 3 days, with a duel against Akhmat Grozny.
The Russian team has made a double stage. They arrived on January the 14th and stayed in Marbella until the 27th. After 4 days away, the Russians returned with Football Impact on February 1st, to carry out a second stage until today, February 18th.
Manager Valeri Karpin (Real Sociedad, RC Celta or Valencia CF former player), loves the Football Impact facilities in La Quinta. That is why the team has been working there, next to the hotel, the Westin La Quinta.
During the team’s stay, it has been able to play numerous friendly matches. Teams like FC Lokomotiv Moscow, FC Krasnodar, FC Locomotive Tbilisi or Östersunds FK are among their rivals. They have also faced teams from the area, such as Marbella CF or Atlético Sanluqueño CF.

FC Lokomotiv Moscow ends its concentration at Marbella Football Center and returns home. Serbian Marko Nikolic returns with his men to Moscow, where the most important challenges of the year await them.
This same week this classic world football team will face FC Tambov. The match belongs to the round of 16 of the Russian Cup.
With a double concentration, “loko” has been working in Marbella Football Center for one month. Since January 14th, the team has done great physical, technical and tactical work.

El Molde FK, is currently training at the Meliá Villaitana Football Center in Benidorm. The Norwegian team is a regular customer of Marbella Football Center, on the Costa del Sol.
Like most teams in the Eliteserien (top flight in Norwegian football), the 2019 champion usually makes his Winter Break on the Costa del Sol. Taking advantage of the good weather in southern Spain, the Norwegians are one of our more loyal friends.
Due to the restrictions of the Norwegian country because of the pandemic, they will play the round of 32 of the Europa League in Spain. Specifically in the Estadio de la Cerámica (Villarreal CF).
In this exciting duel, our friends will face other friends from FI, the Germans from TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The duel will be next Thursday from 21:00.
This morning they had their first training session, with splendid grass and temperature conditions. After the game, Erling Moe’s team will take advantage of their time in Spain and will continue to concentrate on the Mediterranean coast until the 23rd.
Thanks to the commendable effort of Marbella City Council, the Spanish Under-19 Women’s Team will arrive to Marbella this Monday for a stage at Marbella Football Center.
The RFEF has declared Marbella the venue for the concentrations of the youth categories for the next 3 years. After the passage of different teams through Marbella Football Center and their pleasant experience, the RFEF has decided to continue trusting MFC and FI.
On Monday Pedro López will arrive with his girls for a five-day stage. For the occasion, the coach has chosen the following players:

FC Krasnodar and its youth team, Krasnodar 2, finish their two weeks of Winter Break on the Costa del Sol. The Russian club arrived to Marbella on the last day of January, and today they are returning home.
During their stay Murad Musaev and his men have been able to play up to 4 friendly matches. 2 against FC Lokomotiv Moscow, one against FC Rostov and one against FC Locomotive Tbilisi. 2 wins, a draw and a loss is the team’s baggage in its umpteenth stage on the Costa del Sol.
Now they only think of Dinamo Zagreb, the team they will face in the round of 32 of the Europa League. The confrontation will be in Krasnodar next Thursday 18th from 18:55 (Spanish time).
The youth team has also played two preparation matches. Lokmotiv from Moscow and Balompédica Linense have been its rivals. From MFC and FI we want to thank the trust placed in us for another year. Now we wish them the best of luck and we wait for them for the next stage.
FC Krasnodar, a team of the first division of the Russian Premier League, is finishing its last days of stage in Marbella. Murad Musaev and his men will say goodbye to the Costa del Sol with 2 matches organized by Football Impact.
FC Lokomotiv Moscow and FC Lokomotivi Tbilisi will be his two rivals in tomorrow’s matches. So far they had played 2 games, against Lokomotiv and Rostov.
The team, which finished third last season in the Premier League, already has its sights set on the Europa League. The next Thursday, February 18th, they will host Dinamo Zagreb at their stadium, in a match corresponding to the first round of the Europa League playoff.
Our friends leave with a good work completed, after intense preparation. They mainly exercised on the Dama de Noche fields, although they have also worked on the Marbella Football Center turf.
Sweden’s first division soccer team Östersunds FK left the Costa del Sol on Saturday and headed back home. The Scandinavians have been working for 2 weeks, taking advantage of the good weather in Marbella.
During the 2 weeks of stage, the team has been working at the Dama de Noche facilities. By coinciding with other great European teams, they have also been able to play top-level friendly matches.
During their stay, the Swedes have faced FC Rostov and FC Lokomotiv Moscow. One confrontation against the first and two against the second.
These games, together with good tactical and physical work, help the team to get to the start of the new season in the best conditions. In addition, this time together helps the staff to grow as a group.
On Saturday, February 6th, FC Lokomotivi Tbilisi will land on the Costa del Sol. The team plays in the Crystalbet Erovnuli Liga, the first division of Georgian football.
The team led by Giorgi Chiabrishvili will stay in Marbella until the 20th. 15 days of stage that will help the team to improve in all aspects, both physically, mentally and tactically.
With the mind set on the first league game on March 1st, the team will work on the grass of Marbella Football Center. Their rival will be another team from the city, Saburtalo Tbilisi will receive them in the first game of the season.
To prepare for this match in the best possible way, our friends are planning to play a friendly game. At the moment, they have a duel against FC Rostov scheduled on the 8th, just two days after arriving to the Costa del Sol.
Marbella’s Town Hall has gifted a commemorative trophy to the Russian clubs FC Rostov, FC Lokomotiv Moscow and FC Krasnodar. The reason was their participation in the “Marbella Winter Cup 21”.
With this, the municipal council wanted to thank these great clubs for choosing Marbella.
These teams have participated in the “Marbella Winter Cup 21” where the clubs that choose Marbella play different preparation matches. In fact today we had two great duels between these 3 great Russian teams.
Krasnodar faced Lokomotiv at 14:00, with a tie 1-1. Later, at 16:30, Krasnodar met Rostov, which they defeated 0-2.

In Football Impact we have hosted the Spanish women’s U20 team and the men’s U21 team. The promotion playoffs to Second and Third have been organized, we have received Russian teams (such as Lokomotiv or Rostov), Swedish (such as Östersunds) and many Spanish clubs (such as Cádiz, Málaga, Granada, Sevilla, Betis …).
