The Norwegian national team held its first training session in Marbella yesterday. On this occasion, the Scandinavian team has chosen the facilities of La Quinta for their 10-day training camp.
The team coached by Ståle Solbakken knows the way of working in Marbella Football Center, as they have visited us recently. Last March they were preparing their matches for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers with us. In addition, some of their members, such as superstar Haaland, also know us from their visits with their respective clubs.
This time, the team will be on a 10-day training camp during which they will take the opportunity to play some top-level friendlies. Luxembourg and Greece will be their opponents, and the venue will be La Rosaleda. On 2nd June at 19:00 they will face the former and on 6th June at 18:00 they will face the latter.
The U21 national teams of Switzerland and Ireland have arrived in Marbella for a training camp at the facilities managed by Marbella Football Center. The Swiss will spend 6 days training on the Costa del Sol (from 25th to 30th May), taking advantage of the good weather conditions. The Irish will stay for a total of 11 days from 27th May to 6th June.
During the week that these European teams will spend in Marbella, they will take the opportunity to play a friendly match against each other. This match will help both teams to improve their collective aspect. During the training sessions they will work on tactical, physical and technical aspects.
The U-21 national teams of Switzerland and Ireland will be playing against each other. In the next few days we will receive more than 10 federations, who will take the opportunity to carry out a training camp in Marbella.
The Norwegian national football team will arrive on the Costa del Sol for a training camp at Marbella Football Center. Concentrated at MFC, the team will take advantage of their stay to play top level international friendlies.
MFC is already preparing two matches for the Scandinavian national team. They will be played at La Rosaleda and the opponents are not yet known, but we will communicate it soon through our social networks and website.
It has only been 2 months since Norway left Marbella Football Center and now they are here again. During their last stay they faced Turkey in an official World Cup qualifier at La Rosaleda.
Now Haaland, Odegaard and company are back to continue growing as a group to qualify for the next World Cup, which will be held in 2022.
Marbella Football Center organises with the support of the Marbella Town Hall the PRE-OLYMPIC MATCH WEEK, a preparation event for national teams for the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Several international teams will participate in the PRE-OLYMPIC MATCH WEEK city of MARBELLA, where they will prepare for the Olympic Games between May 31st and June 15th.
The different teams will meet at the training camps managed by MFC and will play between two and three preparation matches.
The PRE-OLYMPIC MATCH WEEK city of MARBELLA, will not only attract teams participating in the Olympic Games, but there will also be several senior and U21 teams that will come to Marbella on these dates.
Once again, large international teams will enjoy the conditions of the Costa del Sol; high quality hotels, elite sports facilities, good weather, leisure, etc.
Marbella is positioned as the idyllic place where players and coaching staff can prepare for a major tournament or important event.
The event has the support and initiative of the Marbella Town Hall, which is once again essential when it comes to the arrival of big teams and national teams.
The arrivals of the different international teams will soon be made official.
Daley Blind, another top level player who chooses Marbella Football Center to carry out his recovery. After an injury, the Dutch player works out on the MFC pitches and in the state-of-the-art gym.
The son of another football great (Danny Blind), Daley has his father as a reference point, a European champion with Ajax and international with Holland. Our friend Daley has followed in his father’s footsteps, joining Ajax (after a stint with our friends at Manchester United) and is an international player with the Dutch national team.
An injury has deprived Daley of the final part of the season, but he does not want to miss Euro 2021 and has therefore chosen Marbella Football Center to carry out his recovery.
Like many others, Daley appreciates the standard of the facilities at MFC, as well as the privacy in which he can work out in the best conditions. We wish him all the best and look forward to seeing him in the coming weeks at the European Championship.
The Spanish U-16 national team finished its stage at Marbella Football Center. A 3-day training camp that has helped the team to improve tactically, but especially to grow collectively.
With most of the international competitions not being played, this training camp has been useful for David Gordo’s men to strengthen ties with a view to the imminent return to normality.
During their stay, the promising young Spanish players have taken advantage of their stay to play several matches against each other. In this way, the players have been able to prove their worth to the coach.
The good weather conditions have helped our friends to train at the highest level. Their presence in Marbella is due to the agreement signed between the RFEF and the M.I. Ayuntamiento de Marbella, which has turned Marbella Football Center into a meeting place for the best Spanish players of all ages.
RCD Mallorca returns to LaLiga Santander. The red team did not even have to play the last two rounds of LaLiga SmartBank to achieve their goal.
Just one year in the second division has been enough for the Balearic team to return to the top category of Spanish football. From home, the team mathematically promoted thanks to the defeat of UD Almeria against FC Cartagena.
The Mallorcan team is a regular client of Marbella Football Center and Football Impact, so we are extremely proud of their return to LaLiga Santander.
The team has repeatedly worked on the Costa del Sol, playing friendly matches organised by Football Impact against top level opposition.
With an excellent defensive record, Luis García Plaza’s men have conceded the fewest goals in the competition. With 25 goals in 40 games, the team has based its play on good tactical work.
Now we can only congratulate them and hope to see them again soon to prepare the new objectives for next season.
The Spanish U-16 national team had its second training session yesterday on the Marbella Football Center pitch. “La Rojita” is doing a 3-day training camp to grow as a team with this batch of players who promise many victories for Spain.
With these summer days that we are having on the Costa del Sol, David Gordo and his men are being able to make the most of this training camp. In addition, some representatives of the RFEF have come to share this time with the team. This is the case of Julen Guerrero and other heads of youth categories.
A friendly match between the members of the U-16 squad was useful for the coach to check the state of each player. They all tried to show the coach their quality in order to get back into the next squad.
