Today we remember the past month of July 2019, less than a year ago. Hull City AFC was preparing the 2019/20 season and chose to do so at Marbella Football Center.
In the first half of July, the team decided to carry out a one-week stage at the MFC facilities.
During their stay on the Costa del Sol, “the tigers” played a friendly match that helped them complete their preparation. The rival was another English team, Leyton Orient FC.
The team joins the English Championship. This is his third consecutive season in the category. In 2014, when they were active in the Premier League, the team was runner-up in the FA Cup.
With the uncertainty of what will happen this season, the team hopes to start the new season soon so they can return to the top competition of English football. And we will try to help them achieve their goal.
Vedran Ćorluka, one of the best defenders in Europe, from Croatia, that inexhaustible pool of football talent and so many sports.
Born on February 5th 1986 in Derventa, the center-back visits Marbella Football Center almost every year with his team, FC Lokomotiv Moscow.
Corluka, with his impressive 1.92 meters soon stood out in the Dinamo Zagreb youth academy. After a loan to Inter Zaprešić, he returned to Dinamo, where he won the 2006 league and the 2007 league and cup, which attracted the attention of Manchester City.
One year in Manchester and the Croatian will end up in Tottenham, playing more than a hundred games with the “spurs”. A brief stint at Bayer Leverkusen will be his last step before arriving to Russia.
FC Lokomotiv will be the team in which Corluka does his best. More than two hundred matches in the “loko” will make him a reference player.
The titles of the Premier of 2015, 2017 and 2019, along with the 2018 cup, will fatten the record of this great defense.
In addition, Corluka has played more than one hundred matches with the Croatian national team, participating in two World Cups. In Brazil 2014 and Russia 2018, in which they finished runners-up.
Today we are going to talk about one of the most illustrious managers and with a great career. Benítez visited us at the beginning of this year with his current team the Dalian Pro FC to perform the Winter Break for the 2020 season
His career began in 93/94 as second coach of Real Madrid for Benito Floro and later for Vicente del Bosque.
Since then, the Spaniard has accumulated an impressive record of titles and great coached teams. The great results will begin to arrive with the new century. In 2002 and 2004 he managed to make Valencia CF champion of the league. The “ché” were not champions since 1971 and have not been again. In 2004 he also proclaimed the team champion of UEFA cup.
3 years of great success in Valencia launch him to Liverpool, where he will remain for 6 years, winning the English Cup in the second year. Although it was enough with the first to win the Champions League. And he did it in an epic match, nothing more and nothing less than against AC Milan who won two years before (2003) and would win 2 years later (2007). Cafu, Nesta, Maldini, Pirlo, Seedorf, Kaka or Shevchenko made up this exceptional squad.
After a brief stint at Inter, he will land at Chelsea, the team with which he will win the Europa League in 2013. After this he will stop at Naples, and he will win the Italian Cup in his first season.
In 2015 he will come to Madrid to train Real. But it was a short stop despite achieving the best average points per game of his career (2.24).
Newcastle will be his next team, he will arrive in March 2016. He will finish the current season and will continue 3 more.
Rafa Benítez is currently training the Dalian Pro of the Chinese Super League, although the current situation has not allowed him to officially debut with the team.
The German government gave the green light to the DFB (Bundesliga) to compete from the second half of May. After this news, soccer lovers are eager to see their teams play.
9 teams (half of the Bundesliga) that worked with Football Impact this winter will return to the competition after the long hiatus.
Borussia Dortmund, Borussia Mönchengladbach, FC Schalke 04, FC Köln, Union Berlin, Fortuna Düsseldorf, FSV Mainz 05, TSG Hoffenheim and SC Freiburg will compete again, each one for its goals.
Borussia Dortmund and Mönchengladbach want to continue their fight with Bayern Munich for the title. While Schalke, Köln, Union Berlin, Freiburg and Hoffenheim will try to get a place in the Europa League.
For their part, Fortuna Düsseldorf and Mainz will do their best to avoid relegation in the remaining eleven days.
After these two months without football, one of the most important competitions in the world returns. To refresh your memory with good football we show you some of the best goals scored in the Bundesliga this season.
Today we remember Andriy Shevchenko’s time at Marbella Football Center. It was in March 2018, a period that the team took advantage of to play a friendly against Saudi Arabia.
This is Shevchenko’s first team as a manager. The former player from Dinamo Kiev, AC Milan and Chelsea took office in July 2016. After 33 games he has scored an average of 2 points per game. An excellent result.
As a player, Dvirkivschyna’s boy was one of the best players of his time. And for many football lovers the best striker between the last years of the 20th century and the first years of the 21st century (1998-2006).
Today we are used to other types of players. Some are scorers, others are dribblers, some play well on their backs… But Shevchenko was a total striker, capable of finishing off an impossible center with a header, and also dribbling four players before doing a magic shot. It had an inexhaustible range of resources.
All of these skills earned him a lot of titles.
Titles by team
1 Champions League, 1 Scudetto and a Cup with AC Milan.
5 leagues and 5 cups with Dynamo Kiev.
Ballon d’Or 2004.
Top scorer in the Champions League in 1999, 2001 and 2006.
Top scorer in Serie A in 2000 and 2004.
Top scorer in the Ukrainian Premier in 1999.
In short, a matchless player, with an impressive talent for both execution and elaboration. We leave you a video for your delight.
Last summer, UD Las Palmas visited Marbella Football Center. The island team made a stay on the Costa del Sol between July 29th and August 6th, to get ready for the start of the 2019/20 season.
Led by Pepe Mel (who has participated in a talk organized by Football Impact at MFC), the team performed a first level stage.
UD Las Palmas has participated in 34 seasons in the highest category of Spanish football, with its best position being second (1969). In the Copa del Rey his best result was the 1978 runner-up.
Jesé, Guayre, Rubén Castro, Johnathan Viera, Vitolo or David Silva are just some of the players from the youth team in recent years. It is a team where very talented players come out, like years before the great Juan Carlos Valerón .
Here we drop you a video in which you can learn a little more about this very special club.
Today we remember one of our regular customers, FC Dinamo Kiev, a team that visits us every year for its Winter Break. The team takes refuge from the Ukrainian cold on the Costa del Sol and disputes top-level friendlies organized by Football Impact.
It is one of the most important teams in Europe, with an impressive record. 15 Ukrainian leagues and 11 cups guarantee this soccer giant. The international titles include the European Super Cup of 76.
This is a historic team, which will turn 93 on May 13th. In fact, the Ukrainians starred in an epic story during World War II. A team made up basically of Dinamo players had to face a team of Nazi athletes. They had to be defeated to avoid being killed or sent to concentration camps.
But the pride of the team made them end up imposing themselves on the Nazi military, exciting and motivating the local public. This story would be remembered in the cinema with the movie “Victory”.
In recent decades, the most remembered Dynamo Kiev was led by Andriy Shevchenko in the 1990s. Flanked by Rebrov, Gusin or Golovko, the team achieved great milestones.
In 1997, the team thrashed Rivaldo and Figo’s FC Barcelona 0-4 at Camp Nou, with 3 goals from the great Shevchenko. We leave you a video for you to remember.
A little over a year ago, the Spanish Under-21 team was training on the lawn of Marbella Football Center. The Spanish Football Federation chose Football Impact to perform a stage prior to the U21 Euro Cup.
The Spanish team finally won this championship in Italy. But before becoming champions, Football Impact organized two friendly matches for Luis de la Fuente’s men. Both ended with victory over Romania and Austria in Granada and Algeciras.
The squad worked out for nine days on the Marbella Football Center’s lawn. During this time they completed a first level stage in addition to the two friendly matches. An event of this magnitude requires the best preparation.
The team, led by Ceballos and Fabián Ruiz, beat Germany in the final game with a tighter result (2-1) than seen on the field. And it is not surprising, since in addition to the aforementioned Ceballos (Arsenal) and Fabían (Naples), players such as Junior (FC Barcelona), Fornals (West Ham) or Dani Olmo (RB Leipzig) completed an exceptional squad.
Today we are going to recall the passing of one of the best players right now, Sadio Mané. The Senegalese striker, the fourth player with the highest economic value at the moment according to the website Transfermarkt.es, has visited us repeatedly with Liverpool FC.
Mané ended up in French football from Generation Foot, his country’s club. The Metz youth team was its first team in Europe. He soon moved on to the first team, and from there to Red Bull Salzsburg.
2 years in Austria will help him make the leap to Southampton from the Premier League. And another two years will launch him to Jurgen Klopp’s team, where he arrived in 2016.
Liverpool FC’s 10 stands out for having a humble and affable character. Although in the field it is a true predator. Together with Salah and Firmino, he will form one of the best offensive tridents remembered.
Mané will win the 2019 Champions League with Liverpool and the “reds” were beating all records during the 2019/20 season in the Premier. 14 goals and 4 assists was Mané’s record with much of the season still to play.
We drop you a video to remind you of one of the best players in football today.
In our review of the great managers who have passed through Marbella Football Center, today we remember “El Ingeniero”.
Manuel Luis Pellegrini Ripamonti is a native of Santiago de Chile, where he began his career as a manager, specifically at the University of Chile. After several years in his country, he made the leap abroad, starting with Ecuador and continuing with Argentina.
His good work in Argentina will bring him to Europe in 2004, specifically Villarreal CF. He will stay five seasons before joining Real Madrid, where he achieved excellent records of points and goals.
Another 3 years of great results at Málaga CF will lead him to Manchester City (which he will lead to win the Premier League in 2014). He will stay another 3 seasons and will start his adventure in China.
Hebei China Fortune puts him in command of the team for two seasons. Both years he went to Marbella Football Center during the Winter Break, performing stages of up to a full month.
In this time, the team took advantage to play against European rivals of the highest level. Teams like Rubin Kazan, Dynamo Kiev or Lokomotiv Moscow were some of its rivals.
In 2018 he will return to English football, to coach West Ham for a year and a half.
From Football Impact and Marbella Football Center we send a warm greeting to this brilliant manager, whom we wish to meet again soon.
